Studio Junkyard is a business run mainly using Free Open Source Software (FOSS), including Linux for Operating Systems, Blender 3D for CG Still and Animations, Open Office for Documentation, Spreadsheets and such.

We are a Husband and Wife team working from home, currently located in Queenstown Tasmania with our 2 children and family dog, Brandon 3 and Charissa 1, and Jessie the 3 year old Long Haired Jack Russell (believe me, she needs it down here, lol). This puts us in a unique position to complete works in a timely manner, due to the relaxed environment, and being in a remote location, we have less distractions from city life. Working from home also gives us the opportunity to provide extra attention to our children, and they constantly give us idea's (and sometimes distractions) that we wouldn't get working in an office environment.

Being located where we are also gives us more opportunity for inspiration as Tasmania is full of nature, wildlife, and a diverse culture very different from the mainland of Australia.

Studio Junkyard is located on a 2acre property, beside a flowing river, with plenty of room to stretch out, and plenty of scenery for inspiration.
